What is Lahore International Children’s Film Festival?

The Lahore International Children’s Film Festival is annual event to showcase the best of local and international films made by, for and about children in Pakistan. The festival proved to be a success since its inception in 2008, and growing as leading children’s film festival in Pakistan.

The festival has three major objectives;
1: To screen films from international and local film makers for Pakistani children
2: To promote children as film makers, while training them in the art of film making and exhibiting their work in the festival
3: To nurture and inspire local film makers to produce films to children in Pakistan

Are awards given out at the festival?

Yes. The award categories and details will be announced shortly.

Who can attend the festival?

The festival attracts families, children and education community from Lahore. In 2008, more then 11,000 and in 2009 more then 7,000 people visited our festival.

How do I purchase tickets?

Opening of the tickets will be announced for the 3rd Lahore International Children Film Festival in August 2010. You can purchase it from the festival box office (details of the location will be announced shortly).
Courtesy package is offered on group sales for school and organizations.

How are films selected for the festival?

Films submitted to the Festival are reviewed by our programming department, which evaluates each film, looking for the best for Pakistan children from local and international cinema.
